Electrically actuated valves offer accurate fluid control

Service and equip- ment provider for the control and efficient use of steam and other industrial fluids Spirax Sarco has launched its range of three-port QL valves with electric actuators, which provides a range of pro-ducts for the control of water, oils and other industrial fluids used in controlling energy and fluid flows for manufacturing and other processes.

The control valve options cover from PN25 up to PN40 pressure ratings with materials in SG iron or cast steel, up to 250 ºC. Valve body and electric actuator combinations from Spirax Sarco pro- vide reliable and competitive solu- tions to most fluid control problems.

The range of options pro- vides one source to meet most plant standards and the enclosure of electronic components reduces maintenance problems in dirty environments. There is provision for optional switches and potentiometers for control and management information feedback.

A plug-in positioner, for easy conversion, reduces spares stocking costs and the long-life valve components simplify and reduce maintenance requirements, as do the constant force stem seals that provide added control, accuracy and reduced valve main-tenance.

Further, with valve body ratings of up to 40 bar and a range of body materials to select from, the Spirax Sarco QL valve, coupled to either the PN5000 or the PN6000 pneumatic diaphragm actuator, provides a solution for most flow, pressure or temperature control applications.

User benefits include a full range of control options for total solutions to most process control applications. One actuator for air-to-open, or air-to-close, operation by inverting internals, simplifies selection and reduces both ser-vice and stocking costs.

A range of control valve materials is available to match individual applications. The ability to mix and match valves to actuators makes selection easy and reduces both service and stocking costs.

The product’s rugged construction provides extended reliability and minimum on- line maintenance, and high actuator pressure ratings give high closing forces at a competitive price. The Spirax Sarco range saves on the cost of instrument air.
